Kansas City has been voted one of ‘America’s Best Coffee Cities’ by Travel and Leisure

Kansas City made number 7 on the list. Voters loved the Artisanal Coffeehouses; Parisi and Thou Mayest Coffee Roasters in the Crossroads district both received shout outs.
Kansas City beat out Portland, Maine with it’s micro-roasteries. Not surprisingly, Portland, Ore., took the top spot at number one.
On another note, the Pacific Northwest climate makes coffee drinking a must. A new study suggests that decaf coffee is just as healthy as regular coffee. People who drink a lot of coffee daily, decaf or regular, have lower levels of bad enzymes in their livers.
Researchers studied blood samples from over 27,000 people who reported how much coffee they drink a day. Those that drank three to four cups of coffee a day, had lower levels of liver damage.
