‘Hitler’ Tea Kettle Billboard Near Culver City Causing Double Takes

Angelenos cruising the Westside may be doing double takes at a JCPenney billboard near Culver City in an attempt to distinguish whether they are looking at an image of a teapot or Adolf Hitler.
The billboard brewing trouble for the retailer sits just east of the southbound 405 in Culver City, according to the Redditor who posted a photo of it. Known in the retail world as Michael Graves Design Bells and Whistles Stainless Steel Tea Kettle, the little teapot apparently resembles the former führer either giving the Nazi salute or embracing his inner child in a rendition of the The Teapot Song. Because nothing says hot tea like Hitler performing I’m a Little Teapot.
Per the item description on JCPenney’s website, this stainless steel tea kettle has all the bells and whistles you’ll need—a cool-touch handle, space-saving design and a delightful whistle to let you know when it’s ready to pour. And it even features the hair and ‘stache of the Naziest of the Nazis.

This isn’t the first time the billboard has made Reddit, and commenters overall seem to be seeing what they wish they could unsee: I’m a little Nazi, short and stout, as written by Redditor Fr_Jack_Hackett_.
