The technical regulations of the Customs union "About safety of food products" and "Food production regarding its marks" are approved and will come into force since July, 1st, 2013

The decision of the Commission of the Customs union № 880 from 12/9/2011 approve technical regulations of the Customs union «About safety of food products». It will come into force since July, 1st, 2013.

The technical regulations of the Customs union "About safety of food products" are developed according to the Agreement on uniform principles and rules of technical regulation in Byelorussia, Republic Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation and to execute point 18 of the Schedule of working out of prime technical regulations of the Customs union confirmed by the decision of the Commission of the Customs union from December, 8th, 2010 № 492.

The technical regulations are the base statutory act in sphere of safety of food production, including food (food) raw materials, and to connected with requirements to food production to processes of manufacture, storage, realization, transportation, recycling. 

The second document, technical regulations of the Customs union «Food production regarding its marks», is developed according to the Schedule of working out of prime technical regulations of the Customs union (point № 19).

The party responsible for working out of technical regulations of the Customs union «Food production regarding its marks» according to the Schedule, was Byelorussia.

These Technical regulations are developed with a view of the prevention of the actions misleading consumers (users) concerning maintenance of realization of the rights of consumers (users) on trustworthy information about food production.
